What are Impact Indicator Labels?
Impact Indicator Labels, also known as a shock Indicator label, is a single-use impact monitoring device designed to detect excessive shock or mishandling during transportation and storage. When the impact force exceeds the preset G-force threshold, the indicator is permanently activated, changing from white to red to provide clear visual evidence of a damaging event.
The impact Indicators can be attached to shipping cartons, crates, pallets, or directly to sensitive equipment and products. They help monitor handling conditions throughout the supply chain and immediately alert receivers to inspect shipments for potential concealed damage caused by drops, impacts, or rough handling.
By providing irreversible evidence of excessive impact, Shock Indicator Labels promote accountability among carriers, warehouse personnel, and handlers. They are widely used in industries such as electronics, medical devices, precision instruments, automotive components, aerospace equipment, and industrial machinery.
What is difference between Impact indicator label and Shock Indicator 2?
Impact Indicator Label is always live, while Shock Indicator 2 can be armed before you ship a container/carton and is not always live.
Are these shock indicators the same as ShockWatch?
No. YTX shock indicator is not a ShockWatch brand product. It is an independent impact monitoring solution designed for similar applications, with same monitoring functions but made in China, helping companies detect potential damage caused by excessive shock during transportation.
